With an illustrious career in radio spanning decades and marked by accolades, Lanny is no stranger to the airwaves. His tenure as a Kansas radio personality, recognized under the moniker Jason Drake, earned him acclaim, a dedicated following and several Kansas Broadcasting awards.

Beyond his illustrious radio career, Lanny made significant contributions to the beer industry, serving as an executive at Larco Distributing in Kansas. Larco, a prominent distributor handling brands like Coors, became a cornerstone in Lanny’s journey through the diverse realms of the brewing world.

Lanny, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he fostered his passion for beer and broadcast. His deep-rooted love for beer began in his teens, evolving into a comprehensive understanding and appreciation for various styles, except for sours! A connoisseur of West Coast IPAs, Lanny’s palate is a testament to his enduring affection for the diverse world of craft beer.

Presently, Lanny lends his expertise as part of the managment team for the security department at Kansas University Athletics and helps organize and secure Country Stampede, the largest Outdoor Country Music Event in Kansas.

His enduring love for beer and storytelling weaves seamlessly into The Beer Guyz Podcast, where he crafts engaging narratives and fosters a welcoming space for beer enthusiasts to indulge in their shared passion.

Sean Geno

Sean Geno, an accomplished digital marketer, brings his multifaceted expertise and love for craft beer to The Beer Guyz Podcast. With a diverse professional journey spanning across various industries, Sean has cultivated a profound understanding of digital advertising and media streaming.

Sean began his career at Larco Distributing in Wichita, Kansas, where he embraced the world of beer as a lines cleaner and warehouse worker. His early experiences in the beer industry laid the foundation for his enduring passion for craft brews. Transitioning to digital advertising, Sean was at the forefront of the industry’s evolution in the late 90’s, pioneering streaming media technologies and playing a pivotal role in launching the first streaming video service for a news outlet in Wichita. This innovative venture marked a significant milestone in the region’s media landscape and showcased Sean’s trailblazing approach to integrating technology with media dissemination.

His professional journey also led him to TheWB in Wichita, where he served as the director of interactive, showcasing his innovation and expertise in the digital sphere. Later, Sean and his family moved to Minnesota and ventured into the digital marketing realm, co-founding Queen Bee Media, a successful digital marketing agency in Woodbury, Minnesota, with his wife, Lisa.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Sean has always been drawn to the fusion of technology and creativity. His appreciation for craft beer spans from Amber Lagers to Pilsners, and he enjoys exploring various styles, including sours and ciders, reflecting his diverse taste in the world of brewing.

Sean, along with his wife Lisa, proudly manages Queen Bee Media while co-hosting The Beer Guyz Podcast. His knack for blending digital expertise with his passion for beer creates a dynamic and engaging experience for listeners, offering a platform where stories intertwine with sips, inviting beer enthusiasts into an immersive world of craft brewing. Alongside his wife, Lisa, Sean has 9 children and 10 grandchildren, enriching his life with family adventures and a deep-rooted connection to community and relationships.
